How It Works Bootcamp Questions

Q: Do you have a permit to be here?

A: You betcha! In order for Thank Dog! Bootcamp to provide the best service possible, we made sure to cover all areas, including the legality of the space being used.

Q: What do I need to bring?

A: You need to bring your own set of hand weights, towel, water, and A DOG

Q: What do I wear?

A: Whatever you feel most comfortable working out in. Running shoes are strongly recommended!

Q: What if it rains?

A: No rain will stop us from making sure you and your pooch get what you paid for. Rain or shine, class MUST go on!

Q: How big are the classes and can anyone join at anytime?

A: Due to dogs being apart of the class, we can only allow a maximum of 15 participants, which makes space limited. Anyone can join at anytime if space is available.

Q: Is it mandatory to come to the full 1 1/2 hr class?

A: Nope! The first ½ hr is for dog obedience in case the extra help and guidance is needed for troubleshooting before class begins.

Q: I'm out of shape. Are we divided up into groups depending on our exercise levels?

A: No. Our program is designed to gradually build on your strength and endurance. The first week is always the easiest as the fourth week is the most challenging. But, keep in mind that just because we said the first week is the easiest, doesn't mean it's gonna be easy! Did we mention this class may not be for everyone?

Q: Are results guaranteed?

A: No. Although our certified trainers are here to push you to the limits, nobody knows your body better than you do. We'll always encourage you to keep up, but in the end, it's YOU that knows how far you can go. Plus, we have no way of knowing what you do outside of class, therefore, results will depend on your individual pace and commitment.

Dog Questions Dog Questions

Q: What does my dog need for bootcamp?

A: Your dog needs to bring a training collar, leash, water, and a dog mat.

Q: How old does my dog have to be to enlist?

A: Your dog needs to at least be 6 months or older.

Q: What if my dog isn't trained?

A: Good news for you! We don't expect your dog to be trained at all, however, you MUST attend the Sunday 1 hr obedience class to get your dog ready for the week. The dog training staff will also be available for some troubleshooting ½ hour before every class.

Q: My dog doesn't like other dogs. Can we still enlist?

A: We need to see you and your dog before we can answer that. Call us for a consultation and we'll take it from there.

Q: Can I still enlist if I don't have a dog?

A: You can if you don't own one, but you still have to have one. A few options to consider: The Borrow a Dog program where you'll get a discounted bootcamp price for enrolling. You will get to choose one dog from our list that will be your work out partner for the days you choose to attend. OR, borrow a friend's dog, I am sure they will love you forever.

Q: I have two dogs. Can they both attend?

A: Of course! You'll just need a second person too! Our policy is one dog per human to guarantee a safe and easy-to-handle workout for all of our clients.

Q: Can my dog be off-leash?

A: NO. Parks rules and the fine isn't cheap.

Q: What happens if my dog isn't prepared for the upcoming week of bootcamp?

A: You can come to the optional ½ hr troubleshooting class that we hold everyday before class. Otherwise, you'll just have to “work it out” with your drill instructor;)

Q: My dog is doing great in obedience class, but we're still having some problems at home. What do I do?

A: Discuss further options with the Thank Dog! Trainers.
